Why I started Cheating Debt
I thought I had bad credit, simply because I had two collection accounts. No one could tell me how to take care of them or what to do, so I had to learn it myself.
Ironically, I never had bad credit. I just didn’t understand it. All I’d been taught was pay your bills on time and don’t use your credit cards. I didn’t know how credit worked, what my rights were, or how the process of fixing it went. I was tired of the roadblocks, and of the hopelessness it made me, and so many other people, feel.
What understanding my credit gave me
I went through that journey young, and it let me become a homeowner before I turned 24. It’s let me build wealth through home equity and keep my interest rates low. I’ve also worked as a mortgage loan officer, so I know what lenders look for.
“Understanding your credit gives you the power of decision instead of desperation. It puts you in the driver’s seat to shop rates, save money and keep more money in your pocket.”
What I see every day
Most people don’t look at their credit report at all. Usually, someone gets denied after an application, and then they try to figure out where to start. They feel overwhelmed. They ask friends and family, or look for a company to help, but it’s hard to find someone you can trust.
Most people don’t know how regulated this industry is, or how many scammers are out there, so it gets a bad rap. Here’s the truth: fixing your credit is something you can do on your own, like mowing your own yard. But sometimes you want a professional.
Why the Debt Cheat Sheet is free
Not everyone is meant to be a credit repair client. Some people just need sound advice, nothing else. Others need more in-depth help. I’ve always given people advice for free and hosted free seminars. The Debt Cheat Sheet just makes that official: your reports, in a simple and readable format, with the tools to take action.
If you have questions about your Cheat Sheet, I’ll get on a call with you.
A client I still think about
Gerardo is someone I was able to help from A to Z. I helped him challenge negative accounts and get them resolved, and then I worked as his loan officer when he bought his first home.
“Couldn’t have found a better guy!”
Couldn’t have found a better guy! Last year he helped me build my credit and buy my first home when interest rates were still 2%!! If you need anyone, definitely reach out to Brent Rankin
Individual results vary. Credit outcomes depend on each person’s credit history, the accuracy of items in their report, and how creditors and bureaus respond.
