Credit Report Privacy Notice
This notice explains what happens to the information and credit reports you give us for the free Debt Cheat Sheet. Last updated: October 5, 2026.
What we collect
- Your name and email address.
- Your mobile number, only if you ask us to text you once when your Debt Cheat Sheet is ready. If you don't tick that box, we don't keep your number. See our Text Messaging Terms.
- The credit report PDFs you upload.
- Your signed agreement: the documents you signed, your typed signatures, the date and time, the choices you made (including optional permissions), and the IP address and browser type used to sign. We keep these as evidence of your agreement and consent.
How your reports are stored
- Reports travel to us over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.
- They're stored in a private Cloudflare R2 storage bucket, encrypted at rest. The bucket has no public web address, so the files can't be reached by a link.
- Each upload is kept under a random case reference, not under your name.
- Our systems don't write the contents of your reports, or your contact details, to logs.
Who can access them
Only Cheating Debt's owner, after signing in through Cloudflare Access (an authenticated sign-in with a one-time code). No one else, and no public link, can open the files. Cloudflare stores the files for us as our hosting provider, and Resend delivers our emails.
How we use them
- To prepare your free Debt Cheat Sheet. We review your reports with the help of our own software, and a person reviews every Debt Cheat Sheet before it's sent.
- Only if you ask it a question: to answer you in your dashboard. If you use “Ask about my Cheat Sheet” in your dashboard, your question and the findings and steps in your Cheat Sheet (not your name, address or account numbers) are sent to Anthropic, an AI service, to write the answer. Anthropic doesn't use them to train its models. We don't save your questions or the answers. If you mark an answer as unhelpful, we keep only that question for 30 days to improve the guide.
- To test and improve our software, using redacted copies: your name, address, account numbers and other identifying details are removed, so the copies don't identify you. Redacted copies are never sold.
- Only if you asked for them: to email you offers from our partners, such as FICO® Score and credit monitoring services. We may earn a commission. Every offer email has an unsubscribe link.
- We never sell your reports or your information, and we never call or text you to sell you anything.
When they're deleted
- Uploaded reports are deleted automatically 730 days after upload. Keeping them for this period lets us compare them with newer reports if you come back to us.
- Your Debt Cheat Sheet is a private web page that shows details from your reports: your accounts, the names, addresses and employers the bureaus list, hard inquiries, and each report's number (so your dispute letters can include it). It never shows your date of birth, Social Security number or phone numbers. It stays available for 730 days, then it's deleted.
- If you cancel, we delete your reports and your Debt Cheat Sheet right away.
- If you use our optional mailing service (Texas residents), we receive your address, date of birth, the last 4 digits of your Social Security number, your signature and copies of your ID and proof of address, only to print and mail your dispute letters. We delete them as soon as your letters are mailed or you cancel, and in any event within 60 days. We buy the postage through our shipping provider, EasyPost, which receives your name and address for the return address. Your card is saved with our payment processor, Authorize.Net; we never see or store your card number. We keep a record of your order and its charges, and your signed Mailing Service Agreement, for 5 years.
- You can ask us to delete your reports sooner at any time: email service@cheatingdebt.com with your case reference or the email address you used. Redacted copies that no longer identify you may be kept.
- We keep your signed agreement record for 5 years. Federal and Texas law require us to keep proof that you received your rights disclosures and signed, and 5 years covers the time in which either of us might need it. It doesn't contain your reports.
- If you become a Cheating Debt or Dispute on Demand client, your reports become part of your client file and are kept as described in your client agreement.
